Tony Gustavsson is a Swedish football coach. He is currently the head coach of the Australia women's national football team, a position he has held since 2021.
Before taking on the role with Australia, Gustavsson had a long and successful career as an assistant coach and head coach in both club and international football. He was an assistant coach for the United States women's national soccer team under Pia Sundhage, winning Olympic gold medals in 2008, 2012, and a silver medal at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.
He also served as the head coach for various Swedish clubs, including Tyresö FF, with whom he reached the UEFA Women's Champions League final in 2014.
Gustavsson is known for his tactical acumen and his ability to motivate and develop players. His appointment as the head coach of the Matildas was met with considerable optimism, and he has since aimed to lead the team to success in major international tournaments, including the FIFA Women's World Cup and the Olympic Games.
